| 27 - 31st August 2009 | The Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir participated in the International Ohrid Choir Festival together with other 40 choirs from all over the Europe. The Festival took place in Ohrid in Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia.
We were awarded the first prize in the youth choirs’ category and our performance was highly appraised by the jury and audience.

| 28th June 2009 | In the court of the Royal Castle in Warsaw the Choir had an honour to sing during the concert from the series “Singing Warsaw” organized as a part of Royal Choral Festival. In the event the following choirs also took part: Sienna Gospel Choir, the Choir of Singing Society from Saska Kępa and Mulierum Schola Gregoriana Clamaverunt Iusti. The choirs performed music of different kinds – from Gregorian chant to jazz.

| 6th June 2009 | The unique polychoral concert in St. John’s Archcathedral in the Old Town in Warsaw was held as part of the 19th International Festival of Sacred Music. In the concert the following ensembles participated: the Warsaw Archcathedral Choir, the Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir, Choir from the Parish of St. Joseph in Wołomin and the Instrumental Ensemble of the Choir Conducting, Music Education, Church Music, Rhythmics and Dance Department of the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. The ensembles were also accompanied by Katarzyna Kalisz and Adam Kowalski playing organ.
The repertoire of the concert consisted of polychoral pieces by O. di Lasso, F. Mendelssohn, Knut Nysted, Marian Sawa.

| 23rd May 2009 | 2nd Mazovian Festival of Academic Choirs VIVAT ACADEMIA was held under the honourable auspices of His Magnificence, Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology prof. dr hab. inż. Włodzimierz Kurnik.
The Grand Prix of the festival was awarded to the University of Warsaw Choir under the direction of Irina Bogdanovich. The next Mazovian Festival of Academic Choirs VIVAT ACADEMIA is due to take place in the spring of 2011. We are already pleased to invite you to the event!

| 23rd April 2009 | The 46th concert from the series “Great Music in Small Hall” took place in the Small Hall of the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology. The concert was performed by the Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir.
Our performance featured great variety of pieces – from renaissance till 20th century by such composers like O. di Lasso, G.P. Palestrina, F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, E. Whitacre, I.J. Paderewski, K. Serocki.

| 11th January 2009 | In Saint John’s Archcathedral in Warsaw, the Christmas carols concert was held with the participation of the following befriended choirs: the Warsaw Archcathedral Choir, the Warsaw School of Social Psychology Choir, the Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir. The rich concert’s repertoire was made up of Polish and foreign carols, both traditional and contemporary, in interesting choral arrangements.

| 15th - 19th October 2008 | The Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir conquered emerald Ireland - Dublin, Sligo and picturesque Rosses Point (in Gaelic An Ros). In Sligo we took part in the 21st edition of the Annual Sligo International Choral Festival.
Together with three other choirs we made it to the grand final where we competed for the Grand Prix of the festival. Although we did not get the first prize we felt rewarded to have reached the grand final. We competed with 40 choirs from all over the world, and our performance was highly appraised by the jury.

| 25th May 2008 | As last year first prize winners, we were honoured to take part in the inauguration concert of the International Festival of Orthodox Music Days in Hajnówka, held in the Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity.

| 8th January 2008 | The Congress Hall of the Palace of Culture and Science hosted the Annual “Sportsman of the Year” Gala. Top 10 sports people were elected for the 73th time by the „Sports Review” readers and awarded the Champion trophies. We had great opportunity to participate in that exceptional ceremony performing together with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Humour under the direction of Bernard Chmielarz. | 7th - 9th December 2007 | The Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir took part in the festival “Winter Light”, together with the three other academic choirs: the Vilnius University of Technology Choir “Gabija” (organizer), the Riga University of Technology Choir “Gaudeamus”, and the Kaunas Academy of Veterinary Medicine Choir. Each choir presented its national music pieces. In the end all the ensembles, including ours, performed together the song “"Kur giria žaliuoja" under the direction of our conductor Dariusz Zimnicki.

| 24th May 2007 | As part of the series “Great Music in Small Hall” we gave a joint performance together with our guest, Warsaw School of Economics Academic Choir, in the Small Hall of the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology. The Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir presented the programme rewarded in the International Festival of Orthodox Music Days in Hajnówka 2007. The concert gained a warm applause of the gathered audience.

| 18th - 19th May 2007 | The Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir participated in the International Festival of Orthodox Music Days in Hajnówka 2007. We were awarded the first prize in the academic choirs category for the impeccable performance of the earlier mentioned orthodox music pieces (see May 13th 2007). Several months of hard work were compensated by the acclaim of the jury and audience in Hajnówka.

| 28th April 2007 | On that day the first Mazovian Festival of Academic Choirs VIVAT ACADEMIA was held under the honourable auspices of His Magnificence, Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology prof. dr hab. Włodzimierz Kruk. 
The festival was initiated and organized by the members of our choir in order to enable academic choirs of the Mazovian Region to confront their music activity and to arouse passion for choral music in the academic society. The Grand Prix of the festival was awarded to the Warsaw School of Economics Academic Choir under the direction of Tomasz Hynka. The next Mazovian Festival of Academic Choirs VIVAT ACADEMIA is due to take place in the spring of 2009. We are already pleased to invite you to the event!.

| 1st April 2007 | We performed an oratorio koncert " The Prayer" together with Łomża's Chamber Orchestra in the St. Wojciech's Church in Białystok and in Franciscans' Church in Łomża. The music to the John Paul II lyrics and to Brandsteter's "Stabat Mater" was composed by Tadeusz Trojanowski. The concert was conducted by Jan Miłosz Zarzycki. Jerzy Zelnik, the actor, made the concert more vivid delivering some poems.
The concert gave a start to the IV Podlaski's Easter Festival.

| 15th - 17th December 2006 | Short before Christmas our choir made a return visit to Darmstadt, the town of the befriended choir and orchestra Chor und Orchester der TUD operating at the Darmstadt University of Technology. We enjoyed participating together in the Christmas concert held on 16th December in the church Johanneskirche in Darmstadt. During the concert the two choirs performed together Polish and German carols as well as the Christmas oratory “Oratorio de Noël” by Camille Saint – Saëns.
The choir der TUD received us warmly. During our stay we could visit the academic city of Darmstadt and the nearby town of Frankfurt am Main. We retained for long wonderful memories from the Christmas ambience and good time together over a glass of the famous Glühwein.

29th September - 2 October 2006 | We were pleased to receive the Darmstadt University of Technology Choir in Warsaw.
It was the first visit of that kind aiming at encouraging cooperation and strengthening ties between the choirs. Our joint rehearsals resulted in the two following concerts.
The first one took place on 1st September in the academic Church of the Holiest Saviour where the two choirs performed a cappella both secular and sacred pieces from their repertoires. The second one was held in the Grand Hall of the Warsaw University of Technology on 2nd October as part of the Inauguartion of the Academic Year 2007/2008. The choirs performed together the cantata Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.

| 22nd - 25th September 2006 | We took part in the International Choir Contest Tonen 2000 in the town Monster in Holland. We performed in two categories. We won the Brown Dyploma in the secular music category, and The Silver Dyploma in sacral music category. It was a very inspiring experience for our choir.

| 21st May 2006 | We were delighted to make our appearance at the concert from the series “Choral music interpretations”, organized by the Choral Conducting Department of the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw.

Our Voice Teacher Arsen Szkurhan performed with us as solist. The composers of the two pieces from the concert’s repertoire, Romuald Twardowski and Bartosz Kowalski-Banasewicz, were present in the audience.

| 16th May 2006 | In response to the Choir of town Siedlce invitation, we, together with our hosts and other friendly choirs, performed the great Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana". The concert took place in the full audience sport hall MKS Pogoń Siedlce. Other performers were: Polish Radio Orchestra, Astrolabium Choir of Bank University in Toruń, The Lublin's Catholic University Academic Choir, The Vocal Group "Nota Bene" from Warszaw, The Siedlce's Cathedral Men and Boys Choir, The Choir of the National Music School of I and II degree in Siedlce, and celebrating its 5th anniversary in the form of that concert - The Town Siedlce Choir. 
The scenery was enriched by the performance of the Siedlce's Dance Theatre "Caro Dance" and Siedlce's Knights' Brotherhood. |
| 12th - 14th May 2006 | The Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir took the second place in the academic choirs category at the 19th Polish Festival of Sea Songs. The festival was held under the auspices of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

| 25th March 2006 | In the main building of Warsaw University of Technology, during the 29th Concert in the series "Great Music in The Minor Hall", large and honourable audience had we possibility to hear a concert version of comic operetta entitled "Candide" by Leonard Bernstein.
Among the performers were our Choir , Warsaw University Choir, Warsaw Saint-Anna Choir, Warsaw School of Social Psychology Choir, soloists and Beethoven's Academy Orchestra. This great musical event was conducted by Łukasz Borowicz and led by Krzysztof Kolberger, who also participated in it as a narrator.

| 28th February 2006 | The Choir celebrates its 5th anniversary. It is our great feast!

5 years of our existence were a time of hard but satisfying vocal work. Some results of it we presented during a special concert in the series "Great Music in The Minor Hall". We shared our joy with the audience singing sacred and light music by Polish and foreign composers of various times. The Choir was conducted by the present maestro Dariusz Zimnicki as well as by the former one, who also founded the Choir, Władysław Chanas. Solo was sung by our vocal teacher - Arsen Szkurhan.
There were congratulations, wishes for the Choir, diplomas for those choristers who were or are now members of the Choir's Council and for those who sang in the Choir from the beginning.
During the banquet after the concert university authorities sang for us a traditional Polish song "Sto lat" (similar in meaning to "Happy Birthday").
We are really optimistic about the future and impatiently look forward to new artistic challenges. |
| 7th January 2006 | The Warsaw University of Technology Academic Choir took the second place at the Polish Festival of Christmas Carols and Pastorals in Będzin. We were glad to show that performing traditional Polish carols and pastorals gives pleasure both to their performers and to the audience, above all.

| 6th November 2005 | International Warsaw Choir Festival organized by Choral Society "Lira" was very successful for WUT Choir. Choir won the Ist prize in it's category and was given the "Golden Lyre" statue and the diploma.

| 24th September 2005 | On the 1st International Choir Festival MUNDUS CANTAT SOPOT 2005 Warsaw University of Technology Choir became one of the laureates and was honoured with bronze diplomas in two categories:

| 10th April 2005 | This year's concert from the series "Great Music in The Minor Hall" on the University Of Technology turned out to be a great event: Modest Musorgsky - Prologue to the opera "Boris Godounov" Aram Hatchaturian - suite from the ballet "Spartacus" Alexander Borodin - Prince's Recitative and Aria and Polovtsian Dances from the opera "Prince Igor" Peter Tchaikovsky - "The Year 1812", A solemn overture op. 49 (choir version)
 Performers: A huge performance group of ca. 350 persons which consisted of: six joined academic choirs (ca. 270 persons): Nicolaus Copernicus University Choir, Siedlce Choir, Warsaw Intercollegiate Choir, Warsaw School of Social Psychology Choir, Warsaw University of Technology - College of Economics and Social Sciences Chamber Choir, Warsaw University of Technology Choir and Polish Radio Orchestra (80 persons). The solo parts were performed by Wojciech Gierlach (bass) The group was conducted by Lukasz Borowicz.

| 14th March 2004 | Warsaw University of Technology Choir's share in the 14th concert of the series "Great Music in The Minor Hall" was a special venture. Four joined choirs performed "Messa da Requiem" by Giuseppe Verdi with National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Lukasz Borowicz and with soloists: Iwona Hossa (soprano), Malgorzata Panko (mezzosoprano), Tomasz Kuk (tenor), Wojciech Gierlach (bass).

| 11th April 2003 | The season 2002/2003 distinguished itself by world premiere performance of "Cienie" ("Shadows"), composed by Edward Boguslawski for the movie sharing same title, on the Silent Cinema Day organized by The National Film Library, as a part of a silent movie show with live music performance.

| July 2002 | In the summer 2002 Warsaw University of Technology Choir for the first time took part in a foreign contest. The 10th International Sacred Music Festival in Mohylev in Belarus turned out a succesful debut for the Choir became one of the laureates. During the journey to Belarus the Choir also presented a recital in Minsk.

| 26th June 2002 | The Choir added splendour to the celebrity, organized on the occasion of election prof. Stanislaw Mankowski on the chancelor's chair, by performing "Gloria" by Antonio Vivaldi, accompanied by Harmonia Nobile Orchestra from Ivano-Frankovsk (Ukraine).

| 7th June 2001 | During the gala concert on the occasion of 175 year anniversary of Warsaw University of Technology the Choir accompanied Ewa Malas-Godlevska and Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra conducted by Tadeusz Wojciechowski.

| 26th May 2001 | The Warsaw University of Technology Choir initiated and organized 1st Mazovia Academic Choir Festival "Gaudeamus", on which it was honoured for a successful debut.

| 22nd January 2001 | On initiative of chancellor prof. Jerzy Woznicki, by resolution of Warsaw University of Technology Senate, the Warsaw University of Technology Choir was brought to life.
The first conductor, who ignited passion to choral music in young people, was Wladyslaw Chanas. Thanks to his great heart and hard work he managed to transform a group of students willing to sing into an academic choir. But the success could not have been reached without invaluable help and knowledge of Arsen Szkurhan, the voice emission teacher. Their joint work brought to magnificent results in a very short time. |
